Horizon Guitar Ensemble Level 2 (Grades 5-8)

Level 2 Guitar Ensemble is an opportunity for students with guitar experience to grow in their skills and have fun making music. Students who have previously been in Guitar Ensemble or who have had at least 1 year of private lessons are eligible to join Level 2. In a group setting, we will learn new chords, strumming techniques, fingerstyle, notes, and play in 2- or 3-part harmony. This is a student-focused group, so students will have some input on what songs are played. Since we will only meet once per week, students will be expected to practice regularly at home to meet weekly progress micro-goals. Students can use school-owned guitars during practice, but it is recommended that they have one at home as well. We will perform two concerts.
